GENERAL INFORMATION ON VISA REQUIREMENTS
# All applicants are required to apply in person to this Consulate General to obtain visa. If you are unable to attend in person due to a compelling reason, please contact the Consulate beforehand to be exempt from this general rule.
# Visa application form must be filled in full before submittion to the visa officer during the appointment . Application form can be downloaded from the website or can be obtained from this Consulate General by sending a self addressed & stamped envelope with a brief letter explaining your request.
# All passport holders are required to have a minimum of six months validity on their passports when they arrive Turkey.
# All travel document holders are required to have a minimum of one year validity on their travel documents from the date of entry into Turkey.
# All payments (visa and other administrative fees) must be paid in cash or by postal order/company cheque (made payable to 'Turkish Consulate General'). Credit/debit cards, personal cheques are not accepted.
# Visa fees differ as to nationality and types of visa and, depending on your nationality, may not be refundable in case of refusal.
# If you wish to apply for a work visa, please contact the Labour Attache on (44) 0207 591 69 18 to make an appointment. Work visa requirements are also available on our website.
# Travel Agencies are permitted to make up to 3 visa applications at once.
# Family members (partners & children) are permitted to make their applications at the same time during one appointment. Group applications will not be accepted
# Under normal conditions, visa applications take up to 3 working days to process. However, depending on your nationality, your status in the UK and the type of visa requested, your applications may need to be referred to the relevant Turkish authorities for their approval which generally takes minimum six to eight weeks. Please clarify your status during the application.
# If you are a visitor in the UK, regardless of your nationality, your application will have to be referred to the relevant Turkish authorities for approval which generally takes minimum 6 to 8 weeks to finalize.
# Third country nationals resident or working in the UK are required to have at least 6 month residence/work permit as of the date of application. Otherwise, depending on their nationality, their application will have to be referred to the relevant Turkish authorities for approval which generally takes minimum 6 to 8 weeks to finalize.
# Please note that the validity of a visa starts on the day it was granted by this Consulate General unless otherwise specified. Please check your visa before leaving the Consulate.
